Legal

Privacy notice.

This notice describes how the SiVEC website handles information submitted through public forms and administrative authentication.

Information collected

The public contact form collects the name, email address, organization, topic, message, and consent provided by the sender. Job applications collect the recruiting information shown on the application form, including contact details, professional links, a resume or CV, a statement of interest, and responses to role-specific screening questions. The site may also process a one-way hash derived from the submitting network address and a limited user-agent summary for rate limiting, abuse prevention, and security review.

Administrative users authenticate through Supabase. Authentication may involve email addresses, session cookies, login metadata, and profile information required to operate the private content-management system.

How information is used

Contact information is used to review and respond to inquiries, maintain website security, prevent abuse, and document relevant communications. Applicant information is used only to evaluate candidacy, coordinate interviews and follow-up, maintain recruiting records, and meet legal obligations. Administrative data is used to authenticate authorized personnel, enforce roles, maintain revisions, and create audit records.

Service providers

The site is hosted through Vercel and uses Supabase for authentication, database, and private file storage services. These providers process technical, applicant, and account information as necessary to provide their services. Additional analytics are not represented as active unless they are actually configured.

Retention and access

Applicant records are restricted to authorized SiVEC administrators and retained only according to SiVEC’s recruiting, legal, and records-retention requirements. Resumes are kept in private storage and accessed through short-lived links. Contact submissions and administrative records may be retained for operational, security, legal, or recordkeeping purposes. Requests concerning personal information, access, correction, or deletion may be submitted through the contact page.

Cookies and sessions

The public site does not require an account. The private administrative area uses cookies or equivalent session storage necessary for secure authentication. Disabling these technologies may prevent administrative access.

External links

Links to journals, professional profiles, and other third-party websites are governed by the privacy practices of those services.

Changes

This notice may be updated as the website and its services change. The current version is the version displayed here.
